The Decade of the Dreamer

The Decade of the Dreamer

I have a feeling my 40s will be my BEST DECADE YET!

I mean, after all, I'm still not married, I have no kids, and I still haven't tapped into my full potential as an artist—so it's only up from here, people! Unless, of course, you have doubts like my mom, who thinks I may never get married. Seriously, such a gut punch. But hey, plot twists keep life interesting, right?

Speaking of my momma, who is the best by the way, they treated me to crawfish, then cake and champagne and a new piece of Mimosa Handcrafted jewelry to add to my collection before I left town with my birthday bunch. Three of us turned 40 within 2 weeks of each other. Talk about soul sisters!! And my girl, Missy, is just laying down the red carpet for a life well lived. Ya'll would be jealous of this girl's travel itinerary.

Turning 40 felt like a milestone worth celebrating in a big way, so I gathered my soul sisters and their husbands and headed to Bay St. Louis for a weekend filled with laughter, live music, and unforgettable moments.

If you haven't been, it's the perfect weekend getaway from good ole Baton Rouge, with its charming coastal vibes and laid-back energy. A little daytime stroll drinking coconut mojitos, spending a couple of dollars at some local boutiques, and then nights filled with fun conversation and belly laughs—it was a reminder of how rich life is when shared with the right people. We indulged in great food, took e-bikes over the bridge to a local art market, listened to some live music (my favorite), and had a very frustrating dinner experience. Because let's be real—everything can't be perfect.

As I step into my forties—in sequins, of course—I feel an overwhelming sense of excitement. This decade is going to be one of bold creativity, deeper connections, and embracing the dreams I’ve long held close. The Creative Climb Planner was one of those dreams, and seeing it come to life has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my journey so far. To celebrate this milestone and share the joy, I have a special gift for my readers and newsletter subscribers: use the code GIFT1GET1 to receive a buy one, get one free offer on The Creative Climb Planner!

This is my way of saying thank you for being part of my journey and encouraging you to chase your own creative dreams. Let’s make this decade the best one yet—together!

Cheers to 40 and all the magic still ahead!
